Our Story
Cedrelaucd was founded in 2008 by Samuel Owusu, a seasoned financial advisor who recognized a significant gap in Ghana's financial education landscape. After spending over a decade working in banking and witnessing countless individuals struggle with financial planning, Samuel envisioned a company dedicated to empowering Ghanaians with the knowledge and tools needed for long-term financial security.
The company began as a modest consulting practice in Samuel's home office, offering personalized financial guidance to friends and family. Word quickly spread about his practical, easy-to-understand approach to financial planning, leading to a growing client base. By 2010, Samuel had assembled a small team of dedicated professionals and moved to our first office space in central Kumasi.
The name "Cedrelaucd" combines elements of "cedre" (symbolizing strength and resilience) and "laudare" (to praise or commend), reflecting our commitment to building strong financial foundations while celebrating our clients' progress toward their goals. Over the past 15 years, we have expanded our services to include specialized workshops, digital resources, and comprehensive planning tools designed specifically for the Ghanaian context.
Today, Cedrelaucd operates from our headquarters on Asafo Road in Kumasi, with a team of 15 dedicated professionals serving over 1,200 clients throughout Ghana. Our growth has been organic and intentional, always maintaining our foundational commitment to accessible financial education and personalized guidance.

Samuel Owusu
Founder & CEO
With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Samuel established Cedrelaucd with a vision to transform financial literacy in Ghana. His background includes senior roles at major Ghanaian banks and an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana. Samuel regularly contributes to financial publications and speaks at conferences throughout West Africa.
Abena Nyarko
Director of Financial Education
Abena joined Cedrelaucd in 2010 after a successful career in adult education. She oversees our workshop curriculum and educational resources, bringing her expertise in instructional design and financial literacy. With a Master's in Education and certifications in financial planning, Abena has developed our signature teaching methodology that makes complex concepts accessible.
Kofi Mensah
Chief Financial Advisor
Kofi leads our team of financial advisors, bringing extensive expertise in investment strategy and retirement planning. Before joining Cedrelaucd, he worked as an investment analyst at a leading asset management firm in Accra. Kofi holds a CFA designation and is passionate about creating personalized financial strategies that reflect Ghana's unique economic landscape.
